Installed the new Google browser chrome.. it looks very slick and minimalist.. CB looks great .. I love how the tabs are above the address bar.
Do you think or know if google has plans to release a mobile chrome browser for bb OS? They probably have one for Android but hope they bring it over to other mobile platforms.
I'm happy with Firefox. Additionally, Google has a bad rep with their apps really dragging on speed. I'd try a mobile version but don't believe I'll be using Chrome any time soon.

I have heard rumors of a mobile version of Chrome in the works.
no there is no google browser for bb there is only opera right now and a firefox one somewhere in the future
Dont know about the mobile version of chrome but it sure is fast! I have been using it today...
I would think google would only have it on android to promote sales of android.

I concur with others, Chrome is FAST!
I'm not switching from FireFox (yet) because of all the add-ons, but I'm pretty impressed with Chrome.
Plus, lets not forget, it's just a beta.

I agree, especially with the timing of it's release with T-Mobile slated to release the 1st Android phone, the HTC Dream, sometime mid-October... Seems like Google's sitting itself up for a huge marketing campaign...

Chrome is pretty darn fast. not quite perfect yet, some pages don't work right and what not. But it certainly has more of a 'fun' feel to it then my beloved firefox. However, i've read up on it and how they designed it to be so fast especially with Java stuff. I really think a Chrome Browser on BB would be a death stroke for the iphone.
I'm running ff3, explorer 8 beta and now chrome. Explorer is the best of the three...I think chrome will take out ff in no time. Mere opinion but we'll see
Not really. I havent seen anyone else mention this, but Chrome uses webkit as its core. Know what else uses webkit? Safari. Enough about that.
Although Chrome is just in beta, its been out less than 24 hours and huge security flaws have been exposed already. Its a long long way from being stable. I'll stick with Opera :)
yeah but Beta for Google doesn't really mean the same thing as it means elsewhere. Gmail has been in Beta for 4 years now.

Yes, and I suppose we also should forget that Gmail is only Beta too.
A Google beta beats most other final developments any day of the week.
Firefox > Opera > Safari > Chrome > IE
Chrome is definitely fast however just wait until Firefox 3.1 is released. It will be much more stable and just as fast.
I'd use chrome more often if it had better privacy controls...

Wow! Chrome is unbelievably fast. I hope they bring out a BB version.
Tried google chrome but ended up going back to FF pretty quick. Can't wait for mozillas mobile version but that's going to take forever to come out

I'd love either FF or Chrome to come out for the BB. I haven't done a lot of research, but I have heard some few rumbles about there being issues with getting API info out of RIM, and the BB code base not being very friendly to outside development, especially for JAVA-based programs.
Hopefully just rumbles, and some day we get fun new browsers to play wif! :cool:
I used to say that I wouldn't use anything else besides firefox. I love firefox for all the free extensions that it has. But I have to admit Chrome is nice. It opens up faster and it's a very fast browser. I've been using it since it came out, and don't really use firefox much anymore. For some reason my firefox takes a while to open. I even deleted a lot of the extensions on it, but it's slower to start up.
